The importance of paper products is bigger than it seems. Just imagine for a moment what the world would look like without paper and you will realize the importance and the impact it has on people's life. Clearly, the desire to communicate appeared before the practical means of doing it. People began to share ideas and information using clay tablets, silk, bronze plates coated with wax or other materials. Of course, these methods were good, but the material was difficult to use and it was often very expensive. But due to the discovery of paper products these problems were solved.
The papyrus, which is the first paper-like material, was used by the Egyptians since 4000 BC. The papyrus plant was converted to paper through a very simple process. The Egyptians extracted the stem fibrous layers from plant and they were then set side by side and covered by another layer, arranged perpendicular. This kind of sheet was wet and then it was dried.
For a long time the paper products ware made from old clothes, rags and other textile materials. But gradually those who produced paper, experienced worldwide shortage of such raw materials. In this situation, it became absolutely necessary to invent a new method of papermaking. The Frenchman Antoine Ferchault of Reaumur suggested using wood for making paper, after noticing how the wasps build their hives.
Nowadays, there are various types of paper products. The most common ones are the paper envelopes, the paper postcards, the paperboards, the banknotes and the toilet paper. The paper products trading are a very good idea of business in well developed cities such as Dubai. In the Dubai offices is usually used a great quantity of paper products.
But the experts warn people that recycling paper is another extremely important aspect. The entire amount of the already used paper should be recycled, in order to get new quantities of paper products. This is the reason why in Dubai there are many paper recycling centers and even the tourists are encouraged to take these actions.
